Starkville Events
So the holiday season is here again! We’re busy with the hustle and bustle of everyday life, with a touch of celebrating sprinkled in here and there. From the food and decor to gifts and parties, there’s a lot to do and even more memories to be made. At the Block Townhomes in Starkville, MS, we are all about memorable holiday traditions. What better way to celebrate than head to your local winter events? Attending local community events is a great way to feel at home in your city. If you’ve got visitors coming in from out of town, this is a great thing to take them to. You’ll be able to support local vendors and economy as well as have fun! These events are usually annual so you can incorporate them into your own traditions. Many city and community events will have information online with regards to hours, tickets, and locations. Do some research beforehand like where to park or where to eat. We found this site that is a great resource for happenings in Starkville. The site says “The Holiday Season in Starkville features our unique blend of old-fashioned Christmas traditions and New South shopping experiences, all centered around a yearly theme. With annual events like Christmas Open House, Holiday Bazaar, the Starkville Christmas Parade and Holiday Tour of Homes, there is plenty of Ho Ho Ho for everyone young and old!” The Christmas Tour of Home is sure to be a favorite. This event takes place December 4 from 1-5:30 pm. Head to the site for more information. From the Mississippi State University site , we found the Oak Ridge Boys Christmas Night Out. This is on December 8 at 7:30 pm. The site says, “The Oak Ridge Boys will celebrate the season in their own dynamic fashion on their 27th Annual Christmas Night Out Tour. The group draws from its six best-selling Christmas CDs for nearly two hours of traditional and contemporary songs, including religious selections harking back to the quartet's gospel roots.” We hope you have lots of fun this holiday season.
